what goes bump in le night;; sub-plot.

It was the dead of night, all students had gone to bed and the moon was half a plate. A large flash and bang came and went in the middle of the hallway, coming from the portal. A long, horrible cry could be heard as a strange creature forces it's way through the gate, digging in and dragging itself out onto the floor. It fell, worn out, before lifting itself slowly. The creature stood on two feet, it's legs covered by vine-like tentacles that crept into mist. Beginning it's walk outside, it's long, blade like arm dragged across the ground, making a horrible screeching sound across the floor. It was headed for the courtyard where opposition would present itself.
The four guardians stood, expecting the monster. The portal wasn't perfect, things like this escaped into their world now and then, but when it occurred it was to be taken care of swiftly and quietly. "Don't bother trying to put it in the portal." Irene had commanded, "Kill it." In response, the creature let out a furious wail, shadow-like wings starting to grow out of it's back. The earth guardian made the first move, vines erupting from the ground and creeping up it's legs. It easily slashed away at them with it's bladed arm, rushing forward and knocking the person closest to it. Alex fell to the ground, a clean slice in his arm and a strange green liquid oozing out. It knocked him out cold, another word not being said.
Irene growled, flashing a glance at Maggie and Desken. Alright, maybe this wouldn't have been as easily as she thought. With vines like before, she struck a large bell in the courtyard, alarming the entire school to awaken. And get their asses down here and give a helping hand. It'd be good practice, right?

The earth guardian stood her ground, trying to hold off the creature and keep it in the same spot with help of the other two.

Felix jumped awake and shook his head What going on?! but then he leapt out of bed and threw hi battle armor on and grabbed his bow and a lot of arrows and sped out the door passing students as he sped to the aid of the guardians

William woke up and quickly put his armor on and grabbed his sword but threw his healing backpack and shield on too and ran out of his dorm and followed Felix down the stairs

Steve awoke and leapt out of bed he quickly put his armor on and gabbed his kataras and quickly changed into a cheetah and zoomed down the halls

Luke quickly awoke and got out of bed and put his armor on and grabbed his shield and sharpened spear and raced down the halls dodged people as he ran

It took a few moments for Payton to realize what was going on. She sat up in bed sleepily a rubbed the sleep from her eyes with a yawn. Forcing herself out of bed, she quickly put on her hoodie over the tank top she had been wearing and grabbed her hook swords. She slipped her bare feet into her tennis shoes before heading out the door. What ever is happening , it better be quick, she thought to herself in annoyance as she ran down the hall, wanting to get back to bed. She ran into the courtyard. Catching a glimpse of the scene in front of her, she quickly jumped back into the hallway and hid behind the wall thinking it might be better to take a more cautious approach.

Violet shot up from bed the moment she heard the bell. She looked around wildly, her heart pounding. What's going on? she thought in a panic. She reached for her boomerang and griped it in her hands. After clumsily slipping on her sneakers, she shuffled out of the dorm and peaked into the hallway. She followed a few other students who had been awaken by the bell, keeping a steady pace as she slowly and awkwardly jogged down the hall, making her way towards the courtyard.

The enormous chime of the bell startled Happy, who jerked up in bed sleepily. He wiped his eyes with a sleeve of his pajamas. It was still nighttime. What were they ringing bells for. He clumsily fell out of bed, feet tangled in sheets. If it was in the middle of the night, it must've been important. Sliding his swords from underneath the bed, he untangled himself free and scrambled to his feet, peeking out of the dorm with wonder. Slowly, his gaze swept from left to right before he began timidly running to the courtyard. He was not prepared for a giant monster that could kill him in one blow.

Starr jerked awake, grabbing her nearby Panaba. She threw on a sweater -it was could outside at night!- and blue jeans. The shrill sound of the bell hurt her ears, and slight tears erupted. But it woke Starr up incredibly and she stood bracing her weapon. Starr ran up to Steve, grabbing his arm and squeezing. "What's going on?" she whispered, slightly behind him.

Melody awoke to the sound of the large bells. What was going on that was so important they'd have to wake up in the middle of the night? She had just fallen asleep whenever Irene signaled for them to come, but now she was wide awake. She grabbed the Gladius she kept in her drawer by it's thin handle, hastily changed into shorts and a blue tee shirt in the bathroom before running out of the door and towards the courtyard.

Carter stirred slowly at the call of the bell and turned to face the clock by his bed. It was late at night, like, really late, and he wondered if he was dreaming or imagining this. As it went on, he decided it'd be best if he got up, just in case. Seeing his other roommates wake, he felt more confident. Jumping out of bed, the thirteen year old grabbed his Khopesh, which he was now a lot better at using and headed out of the door.

Desken gritted his teeth and watched the monster closely. He hated when creatures like this escaped the portal, mostly because it was part of his job to take care of them. And this one seemed a little more dangerous than the others- dangerous enough to knock Alex out in one blow and scare Irene enough that she had to call the students to help. He kept his gaze pierced on the monster- even though it was one of the ugliest things he had seen come out of the Portal yet. He raised his hand in the air and balled his hand into a fist, taking the air from the monster and doing his best to force wind on to it, hoping to force it in one spot, though it wasn't working out to well as it continued to move around, preparing for an attack.

And all the while, Logan lay across his bed. He didn't even notice the bells, or the students shuffling out of his dorm. Instead, he turned over and drooled a little, just because.

Blake jolted awake ''whats that noise'' he said. He jumped out of bed and put his ranger equiepment and grabed his gungdo and ran outside and dodged the otheres students raceing to the noise.

Once Luke, Felix, Steve, and Will got to Irene they saw the monster Steve change back human and asked Irene "What do we do???"

Skia leapt out of her bed, scared as f'ck. "HOLY SH-" She stopped abruptly as she heard the bell chime again. "Something's wrong." she whispered furiously to Happy.

Josh jumped, jolting his glasses off of the small nightstand next to the bed. He scowled, picked them up, and put them on. "Well, if we were woken up, it was for something." he mumbled, and headed towards the door.

Michael did the same in his doorm. xDD

Brace Yourselves... my long post-ness has cursed me.

The first to awake was Sarah since she wasn't exactly a heavy sleeper, and, even though she had already been at the school for quiet a while, she wasn't exactly comfortable with having roommates, not that it was any different from being at home. Immediately slipping the blankets off of her, she jumped out of her soft, slightly uncomfortable bed and found herself lucky that she was wearing a simple t-shirt and pants that night instead of a nightgown. Then she would have to waste time changing into something appropriate before rushing onto school grounds... outside... with several other students. With a panicked look about her eyes and her heart pounding in her chest at the all-too-clear and alarming bell, she saw Carter run out of the room with his weapons. Sarah followed suit until she realized that she had to take her own weapon with her. That was one thing she dreaded the most. No, you have to do this, She told herself with a heavy sigh. Grabbing the pata, she quickly followed Carter out the door and outside to join the others.

The next to wake up from the ringing of the ear-piercing bells was Sean. It had taken a few dings before he finally heard the resonating tone in his dreams that finally woke him up. Slowly blinking the sleepiness out of his eyes, he threw the covers off of him that were already messy from his lack of truly making his bed after Rackley had thrown them all over the place with the fort a few days back, and with a heavy sigh, he tossed his feet over the side and stood up to try to find his shoes. He wasn't a big fan of walking around the place without them, even if the dorms were rather clean. It was just weird walking around a public place barefoot. "What's going on?" He asked his roommates who were probably already running out the door. Of course, poor little Sean was one of the last to wake up. After slipping on the first pair of tennis shoes he could find, his head finally cleared and he could make something out of the situation. Obviously something bad was happening if it was the middle of the night and everyone was running about like wild children. He quickly grabbed his own little weapon and ran out the door as fast as he could, suddenly filled with energy from a little adrenaline boost.

And last but not least was poor little Brendan who woke up looking dashing |D like crap as usual. His hair was a mess, his clothes all wrinkled from a bad night's sleep, and he couldn't really seem to open his eyes very well. Man, did this school get up early. The sun hadn't even come up. What was wrong with these people? Casually moving along to get dressed, he finally realized that something wasn't right when he looked out the nice and pretty window the dorm room had to see kids of all ages and sizes running about with all sorts of weapons and things. "What the heck is going on?" Without another word, he stopped what he was doing, half dressed in a nice shirt and pajama pants, slipped on some shoes, and ran outside with the others.

Starr followed everyone else. She caught a small glimpe of everyone else's weapons. She gripped Steve's arm tighter, completly petrified. And sleepy. Oh yes, she was very tired. But the bells had made her ignore the drowsiness for a moment and now she kept stumbling over her own feet,

Just like everyone else had, Rackley suddenly awoke in the dead of night. Yet, she wasn't tired, or still sleepy. She was wide away and knew what was going on. She could hear the monster outside, the Guardians fighting it.... And she was terrified. But excitement seemed to run through the air, and she quickly grabbed her sheath of arrows, and her bow, then made her ways outside the dorm. Of course, she'd only been wearing a tank top, a pair of shorts and her favorite underwear. I mean, who needed a bra or decent clothing to fight a monster anyways? cx

Angelo was the second of Feather's character's to awake because she felt the need to make him next. He hadn't really been in a deep sleep, because his iPod had died earlier in the day, which mean't he couldn't sleep to his favorite music. Anywaysssssss, his other room mate's seemed to be moving around a lot, so he opened his eyes, and finally listened, hearing the bells in the distance. Trouble? Trouble was Angelo's middle freaking name. So without a thought, he got up, pulled a pair of sweat pants on, grabbed his sword from under his dresser, and ran down the hallway, shirtless and barefoot. What was the purpose of putting on a shirt if it was just going to get ripped up in a few seconds by the awesome-ness that was Angelo's wings? Yeah, there was none.

Aislinn was the last to awaken. She was a deep sleeper, and had been cocooned up under her covers. But something shook her, and she sat up in bed, sheets and pillows and blankets piled around her. Her random roommate told her to get dressed, get her weapons, and come on, then disappeared. Aislinn was like da fuq? But pulled on a sweat shirt over her sports bra, grabbed some house boots, then her throwing knives, and was out the door faster than her roommate.

Nathaniel forced himself to sit up, awoken like the rest of the school by the sharp ring of the bells. He looked around groggily seeing Sarah and Carter throw themselves out of bed and head out the door. For a few moments, he wondered what was going on before shaking the thought away, jumping out and slipping some pants on; he wavered for a moment, wondering if he should grab his bow, but deciding it wasn't worth it and grabbed his blade instead, running out the door and into the courtyard with the crowd.

Stephen hadn't really been asleep. He had dozed off now and then but he still found himself staring at the ceiling having much on his mind. When the bell rings, he frowned and watched the others stir around the room. He paid no mind to them after he stood up, throwing his uniform on and grabbing his newly obtained staff, being the first to head out the door.

Harmony was the only one smart enough to actually look out the window first, either that, or she was the only one with a decent view to the courtyard in her room. She watched with a silent gasp as the first students headed out into the courtyard. 'What do I do? Whatdoido?' she thought urgently, peeking out and seeing the rest of her roommates had already left. The young girl felt suddenly full of fear. She didn't want to be left here all by herself! The young girl grabbed the shield she had been given, because according to the teachers she couldn't fight 'worth a damn' (it'd been better if she just didn't get herself killed); and headed down, trying to blend in the best as she could. If she didn't stand out, she couldn't be hurt, right?



While the students poured in, Irene tried to work again with Desken, vines pulling the creature down momentarily while it was at a loss of air; however, it quickly recovered and tore, thrashing about with harsh cries.
"Just kill it! Quick!" she shouted to Steve, not bothering to try and fill anyone in.
As it turned out, Desken's whirlwind to keep it down would backfire on them. Out of it's mouth, acids started to spray, the sharp currents only carrying it and lashing it back out at the students.

Angelo, Aislinn, and Rackley had all split up, to find their friends and protect them. When the monster spewed the venom....

Angelo's shoulder was suddenly on fire. What was happening to him? He looked quickly, as the acid from the monster burned through his shoulder. He could hear his skin sizzling as the venom worked its way through his flesh. Gritting his teeth, he ripped a piece of his sweat pants on and rubbed it off his skin. Shit that hurt! Unluckily, his flesh had come off with the acid as well, a now a big, fist shaped wound was bleeding on his skin, and oozing some kind of.... Greenish stuff. Damn it that'd hurt.

Aislinn had luckly taken cover fast enough not to be hit. She stood, looking around? Stephen? Where was he? Searching the crowd she found him... He had a nasty looking burn working it's way on his skin. The girl went into action quickly, running over to him. "What can I do?" She begged to help him.

Rackley didn't duck in time, and a vicious line of acid hit her collar bone, and a little on her stomach. Oh. My. God. With her heightened senses, it was 10 times worse for her. She clutched her neck, falling to the ground, screaming bloody murder. "OH GOD SOMEONE HELP ME." She had no idea what to do about it. Tears instantly streamed down her face and she really did hope someone would stop and help her.

Melody looked at the creature and crinkled her nose. Okay, ew. That looked hard to defeat. But then again, they had the whole school here (aside from Logan |D) so it couldn't be to difficult... right? Clenching her weapon, she bit her lip. It would be extremely stupid to run forward, especially since she wasn't exactly an expert with Gladius. So she tried to think up a plan, though her thoughts were soon interrupted as a spray of acid hit her on the side of her left arm. She cried out in pain, biting down on her tongue. She tasted blood but ignored it and gritted her teeth. Great. She grabbed her arm, but kept her eyes narrowed on the beast.

As soon as Desken realized that it wasn't working, he forced the wind on it. Except, it back fired as the acid whirled out and hit students. Including himself. He hissed in pain, shutting his eyes for a moment, but soon opening them again, forcing away the pain. He dug his nails into his palm, sending all the power he could directly at the creature from all directions, hitting it with the hardest blow possible, still gritting his teeth from the pain, though it only seemed to make him stronger.

Carter on the other hand, had time to jump out of the way from the acid heading towards him. He narrowly missed it just in time, and looked around as the others got hit. He frowned and narrowed his eyes at the creature. Then, he lifted his hand in the air and focused all his energy on the monster. He could cause simple pain, and attempted to give the creature a sensation of fire burning all over.
