I look ridiculous, thought a makeovered Teegan. Lately her brother had become more generous with his makeovers and Teegan often found herself feel extremely over dressed. But now, she was also feeling more flighty and nervous than usual. She had invited Brendan over for New Years Eve and was hoping he would actually show up. There last date had gone pretty good, and while her mind was still filled with visions of Nate, she found comfort in Brendan's friendliness. She was also really nervous around him, not like Nate though... It was different.

Uh-oh, was that the door? Crap, crap, crap, crapidty, crap, crap! Uh.. Okay keep calm. Smoothie down the peterpan-collar on her, as Tristian had called it, 60's inspired dress, Teegan headed for the door. Shaking and wobbling all the way there before nervously opening the door to greet her guest.

Of course, the handsome young man standing at the door was none other than the wonderful Brendan. He was dressed almost like normal, just a little fancier. He didn't exactly know what to wear so he figured that he would try to look pretty nice tonight, especially since it was New Year's Eve and as far as he knew it was just going to be Teegan and him. He stood casually with one hand in the pocket of his nicely ironed black slacks that matched the perfectly pressed white button-down shirt. When he said he was going to try to look nice, he really meant it. On his feet were lovely polished dress shoes and his icy blond-ish hair was carefully combed all neat and pretty. In his other hand was a bouquet of assorted flowers including Daisies, Roses, and Tulips with colors of red, white, yellow, and orange. It wasn't very winter-y but in the cold and the snow, it was a wonderful reminder of the warmer months of spring that were to come.

"Hey there," He said with a sort of excitement when Teegan opened the door. It didn't take him long to notice how nervous she was which only reflected on how nervous he had actually been. It wasn't every day that he had a second chance with a girl, especially one of such timid nature, but he definitely wasn't going to waste it. "I, uh.. I brought these for you." He took a deep breath and calmly held out the flowers for Teegan to take, hoping that she would like these just as much as she enjoyed the Joseph's Coat Rose he had gotten for her the first and last time they had hung out together. To him, the flowers were beautiful, but all girls were different; they all had varying tastes in what they prefer to get from a guy as a gift.

He looked really handsome, which just made her squirm and sweat a little more and after giving hi a once-over look she could meet his eye. It was nothing personal, but attractive people made her shy and well, right now Brendan was the most attractive person she had visually seen all night. Although, he had always seemed really cute to her before, now he was gorgeous and her ovaries weren't sure how to react. So instead of appreciating this sweet guy before her, she was visualizing him being someone else. Gah, love was so stupid.

"They're r-really pretty. Uh-- thanks!" She mumbled with wide eyes, her knees shaking so hard it felt as if there were about to give out on her. Politely taking the rise with a shaking hand and making a swift motion up to her nose so she could smell them. All in all she wasn't much of a flower person, but she did know how to appreciate beauty. Especially if it did remind her of this frost! Brrr! Uh... What was she supposed to do know? Invite him in? Oh, right, okay. She could do this. "C-come in! Sorry m-my rooms a bit messy." She told him nervously beckoning to the open space before him. Closing the door behind him nervously, and blushing with an awkward what-know face.

Brendan walked in awkwardly. It was strange to be alone with someone he wasn't too familiar with, but how things went last time, he was sure to enjoy it in the long run. As he entered the room, he shrugged his shoulders and shook his head. "Messy? I see no mess here. It's a room," He tried to say reassuringly, hoping to calm her down a bit. Teegan had seemed very tense and even more nervous than he was and he wanted to try to calm her down. He wasn't here to try to make her pass out from being scared. That was exactly the opposite of what he wanted to do. "Uh, are you okay?" He asked as he turned face her with a look of concern on his face.

Teegan was trying Brendan, don't you see? She really liked you, but in a sort of friend way, which she knew sucked. It was exactly how Nate felt about her and she knew no one deserved to be friend zoned so harshly. So she put on a bit of a show, forcing herself to smile at the right times and blushing effortlessly. She caringly put the flowers into a small cup she filled with water. No vases were in site, but hey, Scooby doo cups were pretty classy anyway!

Shuffling back over to Brendan, she blushed at his kindness, but the dorm room wasn't clean. There was her roomates clothes scattered all around the room. Only on second glance she realized that those were her clothes! She had completely forgot to pick up after her makeover! Now wasn't this embarrassing? And oh lord, was that her bra? Turning three shades of unnatural red, Teegan kicked the bra out of site with a swift kick and attempted to cover up the move with a cough. "I-I'm great. Sorry, j-just a bit-- uh- nervous." She told him, still shaking slightly but slowly calming down. "I hope you don't mind listening to music..." Teegan mumbled, beckoning to the radio to her left. She let out a nervous clear of her throat and looked up at him, a small half-smile that was no where near forced, dancing on her lips.

"Oh, no not at all! Music sounds like a good idea!" Poor Brendan was slightly clueless on the whole idea that Teegan didn't particularly like him, but the fact that they still didn't really know each other kind of helped him out. At this rate, there wasn't much of any way that they could get together, mainly because Teegan seemed to bashful and timid-- like she was trying to hide herself from him. Then there was always that awkward tension that floated in the air that only seemed to grow as the silence grew longer and longer. Hopefully the music would keep it from being so awkward. But the problem was that Brendan hadn't ever had to exactly deal with this before. Each girl that had always come up to him were always wanting to talk and hang out, almost to the point that Brendan just wanted to go deaf and disappear off the face of the earth. Yeah, the thought was rather harsh, but with Teegan, he was definitely out of his comfort zone. Although, he wasn't going to let that stop him just yet.
