The Third Class

The blonde had blocked most of Ryuu's attacked in the crowd surrounding her with quick walls of Ivy. Alright, she had had enough of this. "That's enough." Irene frowned, raising one arm. "You two, off the stage, now!" The earth guardian ordered, Alex could jot down who he decided to be the winner. She peered over at his list, "Reed and Aravis. Start."

ooc: 50 years later...

Aravis took her place on the platform, waiting for Reed. She was looking around, hoping for a way out of this fight.

OOC: I think it took so long because Sleeps hadn't told them who'd win.

IC:

Reed wasn't thrilled, especially since she knew Aravis' power. Poison Generation. Sure, might not do the same thing as acid generation, but it could still be harmful. All Reed could do was change her appearance. Like that would do anything. So she held tight to her Chakrams as she headed up, knowing they'd be the life of her fight.

Ryuu rose to his feet, clutching his mangled jaw in one hand. Stepping out of the arena, he stumbled back to his knees and nearly dug his nails into his legs in pain.
Why did they make us to this? This was so sick. This place. This academy. I'll die before I stay here another year. If he could have, Ryuu would have sworn at the entire arena.

Nyla left the area. She didn't want to anger the guardian.

occ: Sorry D: I didn't mean to take long..

Aravis started to walk towards her 'enemy', hoping she wouldn't need to make the first move. Her hands wer shaking, making the scythe sway back and forth. She stopped when she was a few feet away, waiting for an attack.

Luke, Steve, Felix and Will (Which had totally been there) sat in a chair waiting for their turn.

Both Sarah and Sean (since they weren't actually in the tournament ;u;) sat in seats near the arena in order to watch the people fight to their deaths *shot*. Sarah didn't really want to watch, yet it interested her all the same. All she knew was that she was glad she wasn't part of this. She didn't even think she would actually fight, let alone have them make her be in there. "Go people!" She squealed with a smile on her face. She had no idea who to root for in these battles, so she rooted for everyone.

Meanwhile, Sean sat a few seats away from Sarah in the same situation as her. He wasn't actually part of the tournament, but he was glad he could be a spectator. It gave him a chance to practice his drawing skills. With a pencil in one hand and sketch paper in the other, he was hard at work trying to make sure he got pictures of almost every fight in a position where both of the contestants looked like they could dominate each other rather than having it look like one was losing, therefore it was a cooler shot and everyone would be happy if they saw it. "Maybe you should be a mascot," He told her with a playful smirk.

Reed would never make the first move. She also didn't know what she would do for a first move. She just stood, thinking and wondering what Aravis might do.

OOC: I've had a character forced into making the first move, am I getting that again?

Aravis just stood there waiting for an attack. Feeling all the eyes burn into her. She felt like she would faint, but couldn't. She couldn't faint now, this was for Beata.

OOC: Gee, thanks a bunch >:l

IC: Reed had no clue how she'd approach. So she decided she would just move a little bit closer. She sort of half circled towards Aravis, and waited for a reply. No one ever said the first move had to be an attack. Reed was barely out of range of the spear, but didn't want to risk getting closer. She was afraid. Very, afraid.

Ryuu turned around and spotted Nyla step out of the battle arena. He stood upright, but a spurt of pain from his knee restricted any further movement. An apology hung loosely in his violet-blue eyes.
I'm sorry, he wanted to say.

Aravis knew that this girl wouldn't do the first attack, so rushed forward. When she was close enough, she swung her scythe at the girl's belly.

Reed screeched a went to back off, but she could feel the large blade of the scythe graze her stomach. She crouched down and grasped her arm around her belly. When she removed her arm, she saw a long streak of blood along it, and looked down at her stomach. She knew it wasn't deep, but it hurt like a paper cut, and maybe worse. She had to act fast.

She attempted rolling away from Aravis's range once again, but it ended up being more of a fall on her side and crawl kind of move. She jumped up, bent slightly over as to not open the cut further, and lunged with her Chakram blades aimed for Aravis. She sliced in an X formation, hoping to hit something.

Aravis jumped back, making the Chakrams miss, but also getting a few slices on her belly. Aravis swung her Scythe at Reed's neck.

Reed had at least gotten some part of Aravis, but now her neck was being aimed at. Was this girl really alright with killing her? With a last second effort, Reed dodged back, instead of ducking down. Big mistake. She managed to get a clean slice on her neck. It felt like a giant paper cut. Falling backwards, Reed landed hard on her back, the wind knocked out of her. She started getting up, but was starting to get dizzy. She was losing too much blood. Instead, she aimed to slice at Aravis's ankles.

ooc: does that mean a slice?

"Stop!" Irene ordered. With a wound like that, if Reed were to keep fighting she'd bleed herself out to death. "This round is over. Rose and Gabe, you're next." Vines in the ground took Reed and placed her back with her classmates gemtly, where she could rest. They did the same with Aravis, but in a little more forceful manner.

rose grabbed bow and arrows and walked out onto the mat a little nervous but ready for what ever would come next.

Reed felt herself being dragged away. She was actually kind of relieved that she wouldn't have to keep going. Instead she'd just relax. Much better.

Steve had a grim face Dang, they let Aravis nearly kill that girl! then he shuddered and then sat back in his chair

Felix sat in his chair rocking horribly messing with his bow string What if Rose gets hurt? What if her bow snaps? he thought in horror

Will wanted to get up and look at Reeds wounds but he sat there keeping one eye on her in case the bleeding increased or something

Luke just sat in his chair holding his spear secretly grinning in his mind

Alex frowned. At this rate, they'd be here all day. Not a bad day by any means; any day that involves watching innocent inexperienced children fight nearly to the death with barbaric weapons was a great day, but a day nonetheless that he could spend doing something else. His frown slightly faded into a neutral expression when he realized that there really wasn't much else to do, but he wanted to get back to the Academy before nightfall... Or what seemed to him like three human lifetimes.

Alex itched to simply send all the remaining students to fight it out at once, possibly with the help from some landmines or Cthulu, but he knew that Irene and the other Guardians wouldn't stand for it. Even if it was him running the class, something always seemed to get in the way of his fun.

Gabe walked onto the platform, holding his bow in his hand. "Haven't met her before. It should make this easier."

Rose nodded to gabe before quickly loading her bow and sent the arrow flying at his shoulder. She got dissy for a moment and regained her appearance then loaded her now again waitin for the known attack
