The Second Class

Irene stood waiting with the other guardians in front of the portal to the island. She herself was not looking forward to today's little "lesson", as it never really interested her and there were always those few students who always irked her for one reason or another; being selfish and what not. The earth guardian tried to push the irritable thoughts away and tapped at the weapon at her side lightly. She held light hope that the students wouldn't be so bad like ones who had passed through before, as they had proven in their last class. She idly wondered how many would be on the edge, many of the students now having had a taste of the danger that they would face here at the school.

All thoughts were interrupted when the sound of large, elder bells rang throughout all the academy, the cue for class to begin. Patiently, she waited for them to arrive.

Margaret Lawrence smiled, a serene little gesture that went unnoticed. As the students began to approach, some slowly and calmly, others she was sure were rushing to get to class, she examined each one with her pretty green eyes. The first one to approach was a girl of average height, wearing her uniform, with white earrings and a blue headband, holding her meticulously combed hair back. Her eyes were blue and cold, reminding Maggie of winter.

Trina Millar stood, caressing her elbows with her hands, in front of the Guardians. She was on time, arriving only a few moments after the bells did. "Good morning," she said airily, giving the four a bright smile. Maggie nodded in remark, still smiling.

Greg had gotten up that morning, groggily put on his uniform, and fell back to sleep with a bagel in his mouth. The bells woke him with a start, and he dropped the bagel to the ground, grabbing his jacket and smoothing the shirt of the uniform. He raced out of his dorm in the hopes that no one would notice his delay, smoothing his hair with his hands.

Violet peeked cautiously into the room where the portal was. She gulped and walked tentatively over to the back corner of room, being careful not to make eye contact with any of the Guardians. She leaned against the wall and looked down at her shoes. She was so nervous she couldn't make her hands stop shaking.

Happy skittered in slowly, this being his first class. He wondered how it was, and how it would go. By the rumors he had heard about classes, they didn't seem all too that great. The black haired boy looked up slowly, glad that he had made it on time. He gave a small sigh of relief. Happy hoped no one would make fun of him if he messed up. And most of all, I'll try to perfect that I morph back into a human WITH pants...

Next to appear was Pine, prepared for today's lesson. She strode into the group of students quietly. Truthfully, she hadn't used her power once since she arrived at the school. Walking over to Happy, she stood by him, noticing how he turned away gingerly. Really, why did nobody like her? She was a likeable person, wasn't she!?

And last, but... probably least... was Kody. Pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose, he stared down at his notebook, smiling at what he had recorded in the past few minutes. Hearing many bustling feet around him, he looked up slowly. Information about the people around him crashed into him like a giant wave. It was much too overwhelming for even him to take. He snapped his gaze back down, eyes wide. So... much... infor... mation! he thought, staggering over a bit. Kody managed to look back up without straining himself, making sure he locked his power tightly so that wouldn't happen again.

Felix stepped through the portal and sat in a nearby chair

Jacob stepped through the portal and just stood waiting

William stepped through the portal and sat down on the grass


OOC: I'm lazy...

Payton walked in casually with her hands in pockets as if she arriving at the super market. But in reality she was incredibly nervous. Most everyone there she hadn't met yet and she had no idea what the class would be like.

Lou almost waltzed in. She was hoping this lesson would be much better than the last lesson. They had made her feel useless by setting loose some dragons. Her power of far sight wasn't helpful at all. But today, she was smiling and crossing her fingers for a better class.

Alexi came next, trying hard not to shake, and actually holding down the urge to create a little boy to keep him company. He held his elbow with his arm to his side. Trying not to looke up, he ventured into the slightly crowded area. Oh boy.

Reed looked on curiously. The crowd bugged her a little, but she was alright with it. Maybe Randy would show up. Then she'd have someone to talk to. Other than that weird boy she'd met when she'd first arrived. Strange people.

Lynn silently slipped into the room, hoping to go unnoticed. The room was already starting to fill up, and she just hoped that she wasn't last. Lynn had considered staying behind in her Dorm, not wanting to fight with dragons again, but had forced herself to avoid the consequences.

Fortunately for Lynn, William came in a couple of minutes later in a much more... Attention grabbing way. He had heard the rumors and he was ready to crack some dragon heads.

Unfortunately for William, that would not be the case.

Alex watched as the students filed in, casting glances to see if the stronger students would be returning. It would be a shame if they missed this class.

Avery quietly slipped into the room, hoping to catch a glimpse of Desken. Sophia trudged in after her, her ever-present sketchbook in tow.

Gabe slipped in the room, tilting his hat. All you can want buffet. he thought.


Randy slipped through people, stiffening near girls untill he got to his sister. "Too many!" he whispered.

(Should Eric's leg still be broken? o3o)

Eric followed suit, waiting for the class to begin.

rose walked into the portal a few days ago she had found the green necklace and hadn't taken it off since.

James walked into the portal and hung stood around some people but didn't talk.

OOC: We haven't entered the portal yet. Please wait.

Maleia walked to the others, thinking of what this class was about.

Aravis walked to the others, and she found a spot not to far from the group or too close.

Payton noticed William and she walked over to him. Maybe he could help her get her mind off of how nervous she was. "What's up Doc?" she said, doing her best Bugs Bunny imitation.

Katie walked into the room, shyly pushing through the people towards the back of the room. Too many people.. she thought, about to panic.. she hated crowds. She headed towards a back corner of the room, huddling against the wall with a notepad up to her face, her hand flying across it, drawing weird stuff. She was wearing a black polar-fleece hoodie, the hood up over her head. "A bit here.. and a bit there.. and.. voila!" she whispered to herself.

Josh shoved himself through the crowd behind her, a Yu-Gi-Oh manga in his hand as he pushed through what seemed like a bazillion people. He finally managed to reach the back. "So, what'cha drawin?" he asked, smiling. She turned the notepad. On it was a nearly-perfect pencil-drawing of a Pikachu. "Oh, well that's.. interesting." He obviously liked it, but he was being his 'smart' self. "I guess it's okay."

Saurin walked into the room shortly followed by David.

"What do you think we got this time Kip?" David asked looking at the growing group of people, he could already feel Saurin getting uncomfortable.

"Dunno. Have to wait and see I suppose." He mumbled.

Zex walked into the room, and waited for the class to begin.

Maleia shot Zex a mean look for a minute, then stopped.

Gabe flicked his gaze over everyone. The only thing his power could do was not get him hit. Poor younger ones.
