The Second Class

Zex went to the training area and stood behind a dummy. He then put his kamas around its neck, and with a flick of his wrist, he slit its thin neck, which caused the body to fall to the ground while the head remained attached to its post.

Sarah stared at each weapon with wide eyes as everyone rushed to claim their prize. She wasn't one for fighting at all, even when it came to self defense. She'd rather flee than fight. That was her best weapon. As each one was taken off of their carriers, she looked around to see what was left, having no idea what she should even take, if she should take one at all. "I.. I don't know about this..." She muttered, her voice trailing off in a nervous stutter as she tried to think of what to do.

Sean was already looking at a bunch of the knives that hadn't been taken from their holders. He studied each one carefully as if he couldn't decide what he wanted. All he could think about was how he finally wouldn't feel so helpless out there in a battle like he did with the dragons. Now he could prove himself to the others that he could be something better than some kind of mind reader. "Don't know about what?" He asked as he picked up a Scimitar. It almost seemed to fit perfectly in his grip. He grinned as it gleamed. "This is it. This one's mine!"

Lena browsed the weapons till two swords caught her eye. They were alike in many ways. She wasn't one for close combat, but hated having a regular sized sword. She picked up one of the swords, and waved it around. "This could work." She commented to herself. She to the other blade and went off to practice. Lena had chosen the Butterfly swords.

Nyla who was there the whole time, was unsure about what weapon she wanted. She didn't have a preference about which one she wanted. She looked at all the weapons but none of them appealed to her. She was about to reach done and pick one up when her hand was poked by another weapon in the way. She was about to move it, but she decided not to. She instead picked up the weapon and looked at it. It could help in many ways. It had seemed to fit her very well. Nyla had chosen the Katara.

Both Melody and Carter were one of the lasts to come to the weapons.

Melody studied the array of swords, daggers, bows and anything else you could come up with in front of her. She looked around, somewhat overwhelmed by the amount of weapons, but she forced herself to think strategically. With both her power and her weapon, she'd probably be able to use a shorter and sharper one then the others. Of course, while practicing, she more than likely couldn't use her power. It was better that way, because then she could get the hang of it. So she settled on the sharp and lighter looking Gladius, grasping on to the handle lightly.
Mel walked over to a dummy and slowly slid the blade across the area where a throat would be, getting a feel of it. She jabbed Gladius in the 'person's' stomach and smiled lightly as it dug into it's torso.
Feeling like she had somewhat okay control, she began looking around for a fight.

Carter himself was a little taken aback by the great number of weapons. Though he figured one day his power would probably be enough, he'd still have to learn how to use a weapon now anyway. It might even help with his power. The only problem was that he couldn't decide. He tried lifting a Halberd, but even when he finally put it straight in the air, it towered about a foot over him and leaned dangerously to the left so he placed it back down and pretended nothing happened.
Then he turned to the Khopesh and tentatively lifted it in his hand to get a feel for it. It was heavy, and he figured he'd need to get stronger to be able to swing it around correctly, but it was a lot lighter than his previous choice. So he decided on the Khopesh and walked towards the others, a little nervous, which wasn't like him.

Irene paused and watched to see if there was any signs of him slowing down and striking her, but there were none, he was coming full on. The young guardian gritted her teeth and dug her heel deeper into the ground. When Luke was close enough, She swung her right sword down at it, deterring it slightly to the floor and spun around, swinging around in a circle and aiming for his shoulder with the twin.

Having grabbed a few arrows, Nathaniel had walked over to one of the practice dummies and attempted to work his weapon for real. He got down on one knee and tried to hold the arrow still against the bow, which he found to be an extremely difficult task on his own. He tried to take a few minutes to concentrate, not wanting to accidentally shoot someone in the arse to put bluntly, and held his breathe. Nate finally got the arrow to stay still for a few moments and let go of the string. The arrow went flying, and much to his displeasure, instead of hitting the dummy, he hit the wall behind it. Not even close.
Nathan almost pouted, but frowned instead. "Alright, arrows... You're going to hit 'em whether you like it or not." He said lowly, talking as if they understood him.

As the blade cut his shoulder he almost growled and yanked the spear up and used the base of it to smack her

"It's just a guess, but I don't think empathy works on arrows." Melody called in amusement as she walked away from her own dummy and towards another one- erm.. I mean Nathaniel. Gladius in hand, she peered at his own weapon, a little displeased, considering they couldn't fight if he had that big of an advantage. "So a bow, eh? Have you ever used one?" She asked, crossing her arms and letting her weapon dangle dangerously close to her skin.

"hey Felix want to work together?" she asked weighing her bow in her hand as she grabbed 5 arrows from the slot.

Irene saw the spear coming out of the corner of her eye and awkwardly dived to the right to avoid his swing. She stuck her left leg out and kneeled on the ground, both hands on; she almost fell over and blew the hair out of her face. She could attack his legs as she was, but decided to shuffle back and stand up before he could swing at her again.. She got in another defensive stance again, watching him with narrowed eyes.

Nathan was about to string another arrow when he had heard her sarcastic comment, to which he bit his lip and closed his eyes, looking down to hide the small smile on his face. "Not as much as I'd like it too, no." He answered her after a moment, having to glance up at her. He stayed quiet a bit longer, trying once again to keep the arrow from staying still, but he couldn't get it to stop shaking. "Oh, yeah... totally! Isn't it obvious? I'm an expert~." He shot her a cheezy grin before the string flew back straight the arrow was thrown awkwardly behind him. 'God damnit.' he cursed under his breathe.
Nate had also noticed the way she was holding her weapon, afraid she might drop it and hurt herself, but didn't want to dote on her and said nothing.

Rose looked around for a spot to practice when she saw Nate and not far off was a target. Aiming the bow a little distance away from bares head shot the arrow. The arrow flew by mates head missing him only by an inch but landed in the center of the target. Rose just smiled as the arrow hit

Nathan had been so focused on Melody, as well as mentally cussing out his new yumi, that he hadn't noticed one bit when Rose had been aiming in his direction. In was only when he saw it flash by and felt it whizz past (He felt the wind! D8 That close!) That he jumped and fell backwards. "OH, SH- !" he didn't even bother to finish the word, suddenly on his bottom; his golden eyes wide in confusion. Nate near had a heart attack.
He glanced over at the arrow, and then where it had seemed to come from. "Rose! You scared the hell outta me!" he shouted, not angry or scared or anything... ".... O_o Just like... what?! XD

Ros just laughed historically till she was laughing so hard she was crying. While doing that her thoughts wondered to the moment Nate had come to her dorm just to...talk. "you deserved it" she yelled across the gym

Nate looked at Rose indignantly, his mind seemed to be traveling the same path. "You asked for it!" He shouted back, though couldn't help but smile. He still did think of her as a very good friend, and sure as hell he'd get her back later. "Well, I feel like an idiot." Nathan laughed lightly and said up to Melody, though not looking up at her, his new bow hung loosely from his fingers.

Luke ran forward with his spear slashing from the side to side and when he got close enough he thrust his spear from about 6 feet

"Don't," Said Trina, approaching behind Melody and Nate. She was holding the spear in her hand, regally, like a queen. Her head was held high, and the cool beauty of the weapon's head and shaft glistened, accentuating features of Trina that had never looked so cold. She peered down at Nathan, and allowed herself a smile. "Sure, this spear is pretty, but I can use it as successfully as you can that bow." She claimed, and turned to Melody. She had talked to the girl once before, and decided she was at least a friendly acquaintance. "Melody, darling, hello," She said in greeting, flashing her teeth.

Maggie watched the students with an interested expression, wondering what would happen next. She was so excited to see who would be good in a fight and who obviously wouldn't . . . She walked from different student to student, saying things to them, generally, like "Be careful! We don't want any wounds" and "That's not how you use a bow!" All in all, she was enjoying herself.

If Maggie was enjoying herself, Greg was simply gleeful. He battled duplicate after duplicate, always tearing their flesh and ripping them open with the leopard's claws. It felt weird, because he was essentially killing himself, but he didn't much mind. He didn't look at the clones as he normally did. . as extensions of himself, as carbon copies. He looked at them as no more than moving, breathing dummies, and they fought back. He had a cut nicks and cuts to prove it, but he was always too fast for them. "Anyone want to spar?" He asked, with an air of arrogance. He didn't expect anyone to accept.

Gabe glanced around cautiously before shooting the first arrow. It went through the dummys head where the eye would be. "Hahaha!"

james walked up to greg "i will" he offered walking up to him whit his knifes.

Violet squeezed her eyes shut and threw her boomerang as hard as she could which probably wasn't a good idea if you're trying to practice aim. The boomerang zoomed around the room and right as it was about to turn, it crashed into a wall and fell onto the floor with a clatter. She ran over to where it fell and picked it up. If it kept smashing into walls like this it would get dented or scratched. Violet gripped the boomerang and tried throwing it again, this time keeping her eyes open. It circled the room without crashing into any walls. It did crash into the back of the head of one of the students, however. "I'm so sorry!" Violet squeaked as she rushed to the student she had hit.

ooc: i dont care who, but if you want to be the one Violet hit with a boomerang, post now!

Jacob rubbed the back of his head and turned around his swords ready but then he saw it was Violet "Oh i thought it was someone else, sorry"

rose poked Felixes arm "hey you ready to practice?" she asked.

Violet shrunk about two inches out of horror when Jacob turned on her with his weapons. "I-I'm so sorry! I didn't mean it," she apologized frantically, covering her face with her hands.

"No its ok" he sauf leaning down and picking up her boomerang and handinv it to her


Felix looked at Rose "Sure"

Violet tentatively reached out a hand and took the boomerang from Jacob. "T-Thank you. You're not hurt at all, are you?" she asked meekly.

Zex looked around and saw everyone fighting. "Anyone wanna spar?" he asked, spinning his kamas around in his hands.
